ABA-based behaviour consulting for children and youth in the Lower Mainland. Working alongside families, guardians, caregivers, and support teams to build skills, reduce barriers, and meet every child where they are.
Get in Touch โจ"Every child deserves a foundation โ we help build it, one piece at a time."
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to people who needed someone in their corner. That pull never went away โ it just found a direction. In 2008, I became a Behaviour Interventionist, and working alongside children with Autism and developmental disabilities felt immediately like home.
Over the years, that passion grew into expertise. I became a RASP-approved Behaviour Consultant in 2017, earned my BCaBA certification in 2020, and hold a Master's Degree in Special Education. My approach draws on a wide range of ABA methods โ DTT, NET, Errorless Teaching, EIBI โ always chosen to fit the child, never the other way around.
What I believe, above everything else, is that every child has potential. My job is to find it, build on it, and make sure the people around that child can see it too. I stay actively involved in every plan I write โ because real support does not come from a distance.
"The name says it all. Every puzzle has a corner piece โ the one that orients everything else. That is what I try to be for every child I work with."
โ Iwona Powley, FounderThe children we work with are not different from us.
They just have not had enough people show them this is true.
That is what we are here for.
Every service is built around the child โ their strengths, their challenges, and the team around them. No two children are the same, and no two plans should be either.
Individualized, evidence-based behaviour support plans that identify the function of behaviour and provide practical, compassionate strategies for support teams, families, guardians, and caregivers.
Skill-building programs across communication, self-care, social skills, emotional regulation, and daily living โ using DTT, NET, Errorless Teaching, and EIBI tailored to your child.
Direct support for families, guardians, and caregivers navigating complex behaviours, system involvement, or new diagnoses. We work with you, not around you.
Consultation, staff training, and clinical documentation for residential placements. We help care teams understand the child behind the behaviour.
Practical, accessible training for support workers, residential staff, and caregivers โ grounded in ABA principles and delivered in plain language, without the jargon.
Hands-on coaching for parents, guardians, and caregivers โ building confidence and consistency at home. Because the most powerful therapy happens in everyday moments, with the people who love the child most.
I work closely with schools, daycares, OTs, SLPs, and all professionals involved in a child's care. Consistency across environments is not a bonus โ it is the foundation of real progress.
Whether you are a family navigating a new diagnosis, a care team looking for guidance, or a child who just needs someone steady โ we are here.
ASD, FASD, PDA, ODD, intellectual disabilities, complex and co-occurring needs โ we work with children across a wide range of profiles. But here is what matters most: the label tells us very little. The child tells us everything. We build our understanding from the person, not the diagnosis.
We understand the unique challenges facing children in residential placements and funded care, and we know how to work effectively within those systems.
When behaviour is confusing, exhausting, or frightening, you need more than a pamphlet. We sit with you, make a plan, and stay in it with you.
Residential staff, behaviour interventionists, teachers, and allied health professionals โ we collaborate across teams so everyone is working from the same understanding.
Applied Behaviour Analysis is the science. The child in front of us is the reason. Every plan starts with understanding โ not just the behaviour, but the story and the person behind it. Where appropriate, I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques โ supporting children and youth in building psychological flexibility, emotional awareness, and values-based living alongside their behavioural goals.
History, environment, relationships, and learning style โ not just what is happening, but why, and what they are truly capable of.
Individualized, practical, and written in plain language so everyone on the team can use it โ not just read it.
I do not hand over a document and disappear. I show up, work hands-on, adjust as needed, and stay in it for the long run.
Schools, daycares, OTs, SLPs, and every professional involved in a child's life. Consistency across environments is not a bonus โ it is the foundation of real progress.
Data-driven decisions, honest progress reporting, and clear communication with everyone involved โ always.
"The goal is never for a child to have to learn. It is for them to want to."
โ Iwona Powley, BCaBA
"My goal is simple โ I want every child to want to learn,
not feel like they have to."
When a child is curious, engaged, and genuinely enjoying the process โ that is when the real growth happens. Everything I do is designed to get them there.
